I know you like Japanese schoolgirls.

Hey there, friend. I'm not sure we've met before, but we apparently know each other. I think you're in a band, but I'm not sure. I am sure you like Japanese schoolgirls though because I see you often like photos of them. This feels a bit like "T.M.I." doesn't it? I mean, I know you're not liking these photos, and gifs because you're drawing inspiration for your next Saturday night outfit. Well, I guess I don't know that for sure, but I do know you really like Japanese schoolgirls.

I'm not mad by the way, I understand the appeal, I guess. Cute girls in short skirts? That's pure, modern Americana right there. Can you think of anything more 'Murican than a scantily-clad teenage girl singing a pop song? Or perhaps singing the national anthem before a Nascar race after eating a bacon double cheeseburger from Hardee's (Carl's Jr. on the west coast) while wearing a cowboy hat? Are you visualizing this scene right now? Are you thinking about baseball yet? Did you get that joke at all?

Social media is interesting on many levels. Least of all is the fact that when I swipe the word "social" on my phone, it shows up as "suicidal". Pretty funny considering how many people comment "kill yourself" on posts. Hopefully "suicidal media" isn't the next trend, but I digress. Social media is an ongoing experiment that I'm far too invested in to not see through till the end. I just have to see how it ends!

I'm also guilty of the same thing many others are: what I like to call "rubbernecking". Most do it passing by car accidents, but we also do a form of it on the Internet. Sometimes without even meaning to, that's the weird thing about it. I know more about some complete strangers than I do some of my own friends. I don't know the middle names or birthdays of far too many of my friends, but I know some total strangers who are really into Japanese schoolgirls.
